Sometimes a friend asks hard-to-answer questions. Sometimes a loved one finds themselves in a no-win situation. Sometimes the unthinkable happens. Sometimes the spouse walks out, the friend betrays, the fears become bigger than our faith, or the no-big-deal weekend activity becomes an addiction that takes over your whole life. What do we say when someone we care about is in a situation that leaves them feeling hopeless and helpless? How can we be “Jesus with skin on” to those who are hurting?
